The individual I first discussed the matter with via Amazon chat was incredibly helpful and supportive. She showed empathy above what I expected. The claim form was sent over fairly quick. The attached documents were sent with the claim form but for some reason the claim adjuster did not have them when I spoke to them via email days later. I reattached the documents. The only issue I felt bothered by were the need to provide visual evidence to support the claim. Now I understand why they needed the proof, but let us say I didn’t take a picture of the vehicle or a video. Then what? Or let say someone else experienced the same issue and didn’t think to take a video. That I believe is wrong. If Amazon has the date and time of the delivery and the date and time of the customer adds up then all is needed to be done is ask the driver if perhaps they drove into the yard or what not. Sure they can lie but I’m sure most people would be honest. Besides that, submitting the estimate and then Amazon completing their own estimate. Then needing to negotiate that was understandable. At the end of the interaction I was satisfied with the outcome. I was treated fairly and I expected as much while dealing with a company like Amazon.
I am glad that at least some of the expenses to replace my steps were covered. Thank you!
The process between emails and the portal is a little bit confusing is the only disagreement I would have with any of it. However the service is beyond expected

After I submitted the claim form, I received an email informing me that I must submit photos or a video that supports my claim. I sent a video but the customer rep said I have to send photos. She was adamant that a video was no good. That led to an unpleasant conversation. She insisted that it had to be photos, so I sent photos and you approved my claim. You did that quickly so I am satisfied.
Claim was received at the price I asked for, but was the driver aware that driving on people’s property in very rude?
Once the correct spelling of my name was resolved, the person that handled my claim was very friendly and helpful walking me through submitting my claim and texting photos. Thank you.

My only confusion was not knowing what I was supposed to do initially. Someone left a card in my door with a number to call for Amazon property damage. It wasn't made clear to me what the process was. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to call and they would send someone to fix it or what. Now I understand the process more and it was very quick. I appreciate that Amazon person took responsibility for damage and left a number instead of just leaving and making me figure out who to call.
